What is Black Friday?

November 22nd 2010 20:44
: Friday after Thanksgiving Retail Black Deals Free Cheap
black friday shopping holiday

Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, is traditionally one of the biggest shopping days of the year. Retailers offer deep discounts, coupon books, clearance prices, one time only bargain buys and lowest prices of the season sales to boost their year-end profits. The reason why this shopping day is called "Black Friday" is because retailers want to generate positive cash flow for their stock holders and other interested parties. They call this being in the black because in the accounting world profits are traditionally written or typed in black ink while losses are traditionally written or typed in black ink.
