Valentine's Card Box Children's Craft Ideas
Valentine's Day 2011 is Feburary 14th. Is your child's class having a Valentine's Day party? Are you looking for creative and unique Valentine boxes for kids that you can make using supplies you already have in your home? I found several cute ideas for valentine boxes on the internet and have assembled some of my favorites here.
1) Panda Bear Bag (simple)

2) Locker Card Box

3) Valentine Mail Box

4) Box for Boys - Has a Cute Car Design

5) Backpack Box
Sorry, no photo available here, but it's great, I promise. You can view the photo and find instructions at artistshelpingchildren.org
6) Lion Box - Great for Boys or Girls
Find instructions at www.familycorner.com.
7) Find inexpensive ideas at your local dollar store.
I find inspiration for my personal craft projects in the toy, gift wrap, floral supplies and even cleaning and cooking supplies of my local Dollar Tree discount store. They have better than department clearance store prices on a surprising variety of items without the big box bulkiness of larger discount stores. They also have good prices on valentines cards for kids.
8) Google Images
This has TONS of pictures that you can use as an inspirational jumpstart to your own creations.
9) Bing Images
This website has several inspirational design ideas as well.
10) Use something other than a box as a valentine holder.
You can use an empty plastic pail, coffee tin, basket, flower pot or other creative container to make your child's valentine collection box special and one of a kind. Use your imagination and be creative! Decorate with pictures of items or actual items that inspire your child and/or reflect his or her unique personality. If you have something with a lid, that may be the best choice since it will make transportation on the school bus or in the car without spilling the contents much simpler.
