Hi,
I'm Theresa and I'm new to this community, but looking forward to getting acquainted.
This blog is about sharing everything I've learned, and have yet to learn, about raising a family with only so much money. Saving it, investing it, spending it, on the family level.
One person I know said I don't shop, I hunt. I guess. Feeding children, including a teen-aged boy with hollow legs, wasn't easy.
And anytime I find something free I'll share it. Free is very good.
Suggestions are welcome. Thank you to all the people over the years who've shared their good advice with me.
So, getting started. There are alot of terrific sites appearing that feature a Deal of the Day. In the US and Canada there's Woot . In Australia there is zazz. These sites sell one product all day long, hopefully at a very good price. The next day, a new product.
For software, there's Bits duJour. At Bits they apparently let you try out the software before you buy. On some products you can have discs shipped, on others you can download the software (they strongly recommend that you make a backup copy).
On Bits their website explains how different time zones affect availability of their daily specials:
"When does the daily featured item change:
"At midnight central time (US). That's 10:00 p.m. Pacific time, 6:00 a.m. London, 8:00 p.m. in Hawaii, 3:00 p.m. in Tokyo, and 5:00 p.m. in Sydney, at least when Daylight Savings Time is not in effect in the U.S. "
Hope these sites save you some cash.
