PayPal Phish
January 12th 2007 00:46
I have actually received this phony email, supposedly from PayPal. Since finding out that this is going around the world, I thought I'd pass the info on.
There's a new "phishing" expedition with your PayPal account as the target. I have not included a link to PayPal on purpose, because of this.
The new effort to get to your cash goes something like this:
Subject Line: Please Restore Your Account Access
your credit card has been assigned to two different accounts, this violates policy and your account has been "limited" as a result
. DON'T DO IT! DON'T LOG IN!
Either delete the email, report it as spam, or, if you know how, try to report the link to PayPal.
If you have a concern, after signing off, then back on, go straight to PayPal and check your account, which will probably show you that it is fine.
Sigh, remember, be careful online.

You are so right! Thanks for pointing that out.
I just didn't know, until after deleting this one from my email, how many other people had received it, and thought I'd add a little reminder (like, remember your umbrella, or sunscreen
Good to hear from you again.
