RefurbDepot has a variety of items, from ipods to power tools, with warranties ranging from 90 days to 2 years (manufacturers’ original warranty, usually).
I compared prices on a Microsoft 360 X box with Amazon.com . Refurb Depot came in at $345.00 refurbished, compared to Amazon’s $399.00, new. Each product at Refurb Depot has a different range of savings, 20% - 50% - 70%.
And, RefurbDepot ships internationally, subject to the countries’ duties, etc.
I also looked at Kodak digital cameras (I mentioned in another column my grandson giving our’s a bath). RefurbDepot came in at a lower price ($84.00) for a higher megapixel camera (5 vs. 4) in comparison with Amazon.com.
I don’t generally buy my cars new (o.k., never), so if you don’t need it out of the box for the first time, or that first time price, you might want to give RefurbDepot a look. There’s an Acer 20" flat panel widescreen computer monitor, with 1680 x 1050 resolution, that I would love to get my husband ($259.00). Ah well, one of these days.......
