Heavenly Bargains
Ah, it's that time of the year again. Almost time for the season of giving. It's the portion of the year where we look back and think where did the time go. It seems like only yesterday that it was January 2010. Now it is time to celebrate the gifts of another year gone by, God's eternal gift to man of a baby in a manger and the little and big blessings we receive from our friends and families every day.
Life's ups and downs are a struggle for all of us. This year I find myself thanking God for those people in my life who guide me in the right direction and help me keep my head when life's challenges begin to get the best of me. Inspirational gifts are a wonderful way to do that, but my budget this year is tighter than it ever has been before. That made me think about looking alittle deeper to find gifts that inspire and encourage the people in my life who encourage and inspire me while keeping within my holiday gift giving budget.
Below are some links which I found in my search for inexpensive inspirational gifts for men, women, teenagers, boys and girls...
1) Family Book Outlet
I could spend hours on this website or in one of their stores. Family Book Outlet has an amazing range of Christian books, CD's, inspirational gifts and novelties and so much more at prices that, at least in my opinion, could even rival wholesale, discount and closeout stores. You just have to see it for yourself. Click here for their website.
2) ChristianWallWords.com
This website offers pre-made and custom interior decor vinyl wall stickers. Personalized sizes, fonts, colors and styles are all available. Check out their website for additional information. Wall stickers are a great gift for the person who has everything, men, and other hard to buy for people on your Christmas list.
3) Wal-mart
This retail supergiant seems to offer everything under the sun. Religious and inspirational gifts are no exception. Walmart has jewelry, books, videos, musical instruments and more. Local selection may vary, but many items are also available online.
4) Dollar Stores
Your local dollar store can be a great source for inspirational decor, knick nacks, cheap Christian books, self help books and much more.
5) Flea Markets and Thrift Stores
Flea markets and thrift stores can be excellent places to find new and gently used closeout items with slightly damaged packaging, overstock items, vintage gifts and much more. Hint - items in damaged packages may be able to be re-packaged and look as good as new. Some imagination and inginuity can save you a ton of cash when you shop in these bargain hot spots.
6) Online
I have already mentioned Walmart.com and ChristianWallWords.com. Closeout websites such as Amazon.com, Overstock.com, Ebay.com and Craigslist.org can also be excellent sources of discount gifts as can CafePress.com, ETSY.com and Bonanza.com.
7) Closeout Stores and Sample Sales
Closeout stores such as Big Lots can be a source of unique and discontinued gift items, clothing, toys and coloring books for children and much more. Sample sales may have clothing, accessories and other inspirational items at highly discounted prices.
