Halle, Gwyneth & Jennifer Love Juicy
March 16th 2007 00:02
Juicy Couture is a young company, started in 1996, by a couple of self described Valley girls, which caught on like wild-fire with celebrities wanting fun, feminine casual clothes, and is featured in some of the finest stores, from Neiman Marcus to Saks, Nordstrom's and Bloomingdales.
Liz Claiborne bought the company in 2003, but the founders are still in charge and designing for fans, as well as stars like Sarah Jessica Parker, Amber Valleta and Renee Zellweiger, and the union is profitable, and thriving, for all.
Open any People magazine and you will see photographs of stars in Juicy. So, how do you find Juicy at a more reasonable price? Be wary of ebay, on this particular item, unfortunately. Many stories are told of knock-offs, direct shipped from China!
One way to become familiar with the originals is to sign up, from the juicy couture site, with the newsletter. You can also currently enter a drawing there, to win a $2,500.00 shopping spree. They send you regular updates on new items, which you will be able to become familiar with, and hopefully, avoid the more obvious frauds. Also, the home site, as well as all the major retailers carrying the brand, have regular sales, often 50% to 70% off. A nice way to save. There are also reputable discounts at Shopbop.
So, for those who like their couture casual, yet in style, you might want to see if Juicy Couture fits....
