Free Birthday Goodies
Well, today is my birthday. Being another year older is a bitter-sweet experience. On the one hand, I look back over the past year of my life and the new things I have learned and friendships I have made with awe and excitement at what is to come. On the other hand, I look in the mirror and remember the good old times when I could eat whatever I wanted and not gain an ounce and think about all of the things that I have yet to accomplish in my life that I want to do.
As I reflect upon the many intricacies of life, I am thankful for people who recognize and celebrate my special day. That is one reason why I am so thankful that some of the retail stores and restaurants that my husband and I frequently visit offer special thank you gifts on my birthday. It makes me feel like they appreciate my business and value me as a customer. Yes, I know, at least on a subconscious level, that they really probably care more about my business than my birthday, but, hey, it's my special day, so indulge me for a moment.
I am not sure when your special day is, but here are a few of my favorite birthday freebies which were, to the best of my knowledge, current as of this writing.....
A free small coffee or tea from Borders Books.
$1 off coupon at Wendy's
Free dinner buffet with the purchase of another buffet at Ryan's Steakhouse
$5 off of a purchase of $20 or more at O'Charley's
Free dinner at Captain D's Seafood
$5 off two adult entrees at Red Lobster
Free ice cream at Baskin Robbins
Free smoothie at Keva Juice
Free burgers at Red Robbin, Ruby Tuesday, and Fuddruckers
Free ice cream and coupon from Marble Slab Creamery
$10 off coupon at Maggiano's Little Italy
Buy one get one free discount at Rita's Italian Ice
Free Frozen Yogurt from TCBY
Free Dessert at Fazoli's
Free 12 oz shake with any purchase at Arby's .
Free medium tots, a regular cream slush or a medium drink at Sonic
Free 20 oz smoothie at Smoothie King
I am sure there are many additional freebies out there which I have forgotten to mention or that I don't know about yet. If you have a place of business that you particularly enjoy, one way to find out about their birthday offers is to join their e-mail list or e-mail newsletter. If you would like to do so, typically, most of them will have a link on their website's home page for an e-mail list, mailing list, birthday club, or the like. Once they have your contact information and know when your birthday is, that is generally all it takes to qualify for any birthday offers that they may have available. Enjoy your special day, whenever it is, and happy freebie finding.
