If you love fashion and daydream about someday having your own little shop carrying your designs, this is a site you should visit, Fashion Incubator
Independent designers talk, complain, share sources for fabrics and manufacturing, and generally discuss in depth the job they love.
I just read it as a form of daydreaming, though one post on the proper construction for purses really had me looking at designers in a new way.... There are those with the quick and cheap approach, and those who want your money to buy something that should last and last (of course, the latter are my favorites
